AUBURN — Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze can try all he wants to play it down, but there will be tangible excitement within the walls of Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday.
The Tigers are set to play their first A-Day game with Freeze in charge. His early successes in recruiting, both in the traditional sense and through the transfer portal, coupled with his prior SEC experience has given the Auburn faithful something to cling to this offseason.
But Freeze doesn't expect much from the spring game. And he doesn't want fans to, either.
