OROVILLE, Calif. - Butte College Softball shutout Lassen in its final regular season home series.
The Roadrunners won 8-0 in six innings, followed by another 8-0 win in five. With the wins, they stay undefeated in conference play. Butte is 12-0 with eight road games left.
The Roadrunners honored their six sophomores with a pregame ceremony.
Butte's bats wasted no time. In the bottom of the first, Sophomore Alexis Detwiler flied it out to right center. Ella Jolley tagged up and scored, putting Butte on the board 1-0.
Detwiler hit a two-run RBI triple in the third inning to put Butte up 3-0. Kylee Richhart followed that up with a RBI double to give the Roadrunners a 4-0 lead. merry christmas softball
